Giving Back
My intention with my business has always been to give back and make a change in our world. I do this through helping children in need to receive an education.
I work with Saba’s Kids, a charity run by my friend Saba that collaborates with the Bali Children Foundation, an organisation that provides children in Bali with the opportunity to study and get an education. This work is very close to my heart, as I believe we can truly make a positive impact through education.
While Indonesia has experienced substantial economic growth, inequality has remained a challenge for the country. Many people still live under the poverty line, unable to send their children to school. Education provides the children with valuable skills that will help them find future employment, resulting in the chance to seek a better life for themselves and their families.
I already sponsor 3 kids. This week I sponsored two additional girls, Komang Mery Suci and Ni Kadek Widi Sepian.
Komang is a 10 year old girl who’s aspiration is to become a teacher. She loves reading very much, which is a great interest to have for a fulfilling career in education.
Ni Kadek is a 12 year old girl who loves to sing. She also loves maths and it’s her favourite subject at school. In the future she would love to work overseas and see the world.
Providing these two girls with the opportunity to study and have a strong educational foundation gives them a chance of a better life and gives me hope that we can, in our own little ways, improve this world. I hope with all my heart the these two girls can fulfil their dreams.
