aaina & co was born from the idea to support children, which are not that fortunate.

Whilst living in Bali, which was my home for five years before I came to Australia, I started practising yoga and the ancient wisdom which comes with it. That was the time that the urge became stronger to help others and as a result, I sponsored to build a schoolroom for orphans in India, whilst staying in the ashram of Sai Baba in 2011.

In the following year, whilst travelling again to India, I met a beautiful little girl with the name Aaina.
I loved the simplicity of the name. Somehow it just stayed with me, and when I asked a local about the meaning, which I got told that it is the word mirror, I knew that this name had to stay in my life.
It took six years until, without second-guessing, I had something where this name was the perfect fit - aaina & co.

To give back, to share and gratitude are essential words in my life. As Gandhi said

"Be the change you wish to see in the world." Even a small pebble thrown in calm waters causes ripples, and this is what I am trying to achieve with aaina & co or in other words I aspire to inspire.

Undoubtedly the quality of education is not everywhere the same, but if somebody can read and write, they can also educate themselves. My friend Saba Steck, founded with her husband Jess, Saba's Kids, which has the aim to sponsor the schooling fees for children whose parents can't afford. This charity is under the patronage of Bali Children Foundation, whose founder is Margaret Barry, who was knighted in 2018 by order of Saint John in recognition of her outstanding work in providing education opportunities for disadvantaged children in Bali.

The product had to be small and light so I could send it to every part in this world, in order to reach as many people as possible.

I always loved accessories, because they add a persons’ unique touch to every outfit. Jewellery was the ideal product to launch my venture combining the required physical attributes with carrying the soulful message

aaina & co is the mirror of my values in life. It's a part of me.

The jewellery is timeless and chic, yet affordable, made from 304-grade stainless steel, which I chose over silver because of its attributes. It does not tarnish and does not cause allergies. The versatility of the jewellery means it can be worn during dinner parties, office hours, yoga classes or any other activities.

The packaging had to be sustainable and reusable.

Therefore I created a triangular eco-friendly vegan leather pouch, which can also be used as a coin purse or to store small items like USB sticks. Along with this conscious pouch comes a little booklet, with the meaning and power of the symbols, care instruction and the philosophy of the brand.

The incorporation of symbols in aaina & co’s designs reflect Mother Earth’s messages to us that our inner strength comes from an eternal source of natural beauty. We are not always able to control life’s circumstances or know how we will react to the unexpected. How we meet these challenges, however, will make all the difference to our peace. Feeling and seeing one’s aaina & co product will provide the uplifting motivation and inner energy needed to help overcome the obstacles in our lives.
